The initiative "Workhier!" aims to support international scientists from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, the Berlin University Allicance and Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin in starting careers in the Berlin-Brandenburg area.
It addresses the need for highly qualified individuals in fields like science and technology, while helping graduates understand local job prospects in industries ranging from large corporations to startups, particularly in research and development.

With “Workhier!”, we make it easier for young scientists to start a successful career in Berlin-Brandenburg

By participating in our certificate program, you will gain valuable knowledge about the labour market in the metropolitan region and discover potential employers and job opportunities.

Learn all the essentials about applying for jobs and the legal framework for residency. Familiarise yourself with your own strengths so that you can make targeted use of them when applying for a job.

This program offers you the opportunity to network with other like-minded people in order to support each other in the transition from doctorate to career and to expand your own network.


Target audience:

Workhier! is an initial program for international doctoral candidates and postdocs to keep this valuable, high-qualified target group here in the region.

Program duration: 6 months, with monthly events from January to July 2025
