The biannual Information Event "Doctoral Studies at the Faculty of Life Sciences" will inform interested Master's students about essential issues related to your potential doctoral studies at our Faculty. The information event will be offered alternately in German and English.

On 18 September 2024 the lecture will be held in German. However, questions can also be asked in English.

The following topics will be covered:

• Individual doctoral studies vs. structured doctoral programmes
• Funding opportunities
• Regulations and formalities: admission, enrolment and the doctoral examination process
• Offers of Graduate Centre Life Sciences and other institutions at HU Berlin as well as of Berlin University Alliance
• Rights and obligations of doctoral candidates
