Modules
Doctoral students at the Faculty of Life Sciences may attend a range of regular courses within the Master’s degree programmes offered by the Faculty.
Doctoral students at the Albrecht Daniel Thaer-Institute for Agricultural and Horticultural Sciences must complete a programme of study worth 18 credit points during the doctoral study period. The modules to be attended form a component of the supervision agreement. Proof of having obtained the 18 credit points is a prerequisite for the initiation of the doctoral degree procedure.
Doctoral students in Biology/Biophysics and Psychology are not obliged to follow a prescribed curriculum or obtain a certain number of credits (unless otherwise indicated in the supervision agreement or required by a specific doctoral degree programme). They are at liberty to attend individual courses within a module or entire modules, if they wish.
If you would like to attend a course or a complete module from the Faculty of Life Sciences’ course catalogue, please contact the lecturer directly. They shall decide whether attendance is possible on the basis of available space. In addition, they will stipulate the level of achievement required in order to successfully pass the course. Please ensure to obtain proof of your attendance at the end of the course.
