What is MINT-HUB?
MINT-HUB is a project which aims to recruit international talents to the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin for their MSc program or for a PhD. The project started in May 2026 and will continue until December 2029.
Who is involved?
MINT-HUB is a joint programme offered by the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences and the Welcome Centre of HU Berlin. Further participating units are Humboldt innovation, Humboldt Graduate School, Career Center and Language Centre.
What are the goals?
The goal is to systematically recruit high-achieving international master’s students and doctoral candidates, provide them with structured support, and prepare them early on for academic career paths as well as the non-academic job market in Germany. Academically, the project builds on the faculty’s internationally recognized research in geography, mathematics, computer science, chemistry, and physics, and addresses key aspects of the high-tech agenda, such as AI and quantum technology, as well as the strategic research fields of climate and sustainability research.
