Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin - Sprach- und literaturwissenschaftliche Fakultät


Dear students,

we have contacted you before with information regarding the current situation at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin due to the Covid-19 virus. The main buildings and the libraries will stay closed until further notice.

We still do not have precise information on whether the classes will be held in any way - physically or digitally. Therefore, once again, we urge our incoming students to cancel or suspend their summer semester in Berlin. This is very unfortunate, but we do not know if you would be able to fulfil the credit requirements and if the semester will serve your goals for your study plan at all. The public life in Berlin as well as activities of all kinds might be severely restricted over the next couple of weeks and months. Please inform us, if you want to cancel your stay at our university

If you still want to get enrolled despite the unstable situation in Berlin and Germany overall, we are now preparing to enroll you digitally. The enrolment will not be held face-to-face but via e-mail. 

Attached you find instructions which documents we need in order to enroll. Please send these documents by e-mail to exchange-students@hu-berlin.de.

Because of the closure of main buildings and libraries it is not possible at the moment to get the campus card/semester ticket. We will keep you updated on the procedures and we will try to find a solution for our students. 

We apreciate your understanding and please let us know if your are coming or not.
