During the work on the doctoral project, questions about the statistically valid planning of experiments and the analysis of the obtained results often arise. In order to impart basic knowledge on statistics, the Graduate Centre Life Sciences cooperates with the statistics advisory unit (fu:stat) of Freie Universität Berlin.

fu:stat offers a broad portfolio of courses on basics in statistics but also software applications, e.g. R, SPSS and Phyton. All courses are held in the premises of fu:stat in Dahlem.

All courses offered by fu:stat are free of charge for doctoral candidates of the Faculty of Life Sciences at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin as the Graduate Centre Life Sciences will cover the costs if necessary.
