The new doctoral degree regulations of the Faculty of Life Sciences came into force on 10.10.2022.

During the first information event about the new doctoral degree regulations, which took place in January 2023, we already informed about the new regulations and the changes to older versions. Due to the great demand and the feedback we received, we will repeat the information event on 03 May 2023 from 3 pm. At the end of the event, there will again be plenty of time to answer your questions.

The event will be held in English. However, questions can also be asked and answered in German if required.

Why is this event relevant for you?

§22 of the doctoral degree regulations from 10.10.2022 regulates the validity of all previous doctoral degree regulations.

If you apply to begin the doctoral examination process before 10.10.2023, you can do so according to the doctoral degree regulations under which you were admitted. Alternatively, you can choose the new doctoral degree regulations from 10.10.2022.

If you apply to begin the doctoral examination process after 10.10.2023, you will be awarded your doctorate according to the new doctoral degree regulations from 10.10.2022. If you prefer to complete your doctorate under the doctoral degree regulations under which you were admitted, you must inform the doctoral degree board of the Faculty before 10.10.2023.
