Modules

Degree programmes consist of modules that structure the course content both thematically and chronologically. In your subject-specific study and examination regulations, you can see in the "Module descriptions" annex which modules make up your degree programme or subject, what components the individual modules consist of and how they can be completed. A certain number of credit points is assigned to each module. Please note that the modules generally consist of several courses (e.g. lecture, seminar, internship, etc.) and are completed with a final module examination. There is usually a certain number of compulsory modules that must be completed in each case, and a number of compulsory elective modules to choose from. The credit points for a module are only awarded if the associated courses and the examination have been successfully completed in accordance with the module description.
