WINS Summer Retreat 2026
17 - 19 July 2026
Advanced scientific careers bring with them particular challenges: roles change, responsibilities grow, decision-making situations become more complex – and cannot be addressed by guidelines or individual counselling alone.
The retreat focuses on elements from improvisational theatre as a method for jointly visualising, testing and discussing typical situations from the academic context, such as appointment interviews and committee meetings. Our aim is to provide a safe space for experimental reflection on roles, scope for action and self-image in science.
Another key focus of the retreat is the interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary networking of female scientists at Campus Adlershof and at BUA level through presentations of their own scientific projects and questions. Working and reflecting together creates space for exchange across disciplinary boundaries and for establishing lasting contacts.
