International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women
On the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women on November 25, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin takes a clear stand against all forms of sexualized discrimination and violence. As part of this day and the associated action week (21.-30.11.2025), a series of workshops will be offered:
Mutausbruch Workshops 2025
These workshops promote a positive approach to self-confidence and self-assurance and include reflection on different forms of violence, such as verbal or physical violence. The practical part of the workshops includes exercises on setting boundaries and self-assertion.

How to Be an Ally
Date: Tuesday, November 25, 2025 – 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

In this workshop, participants will explore power structures and (their own) privileges and develop strategies for mutual support within traditionally hierarchical (work) environments. They will also reflect on their own resources and how these can be mobilized — for themselves and others. The goal of the workshop is to build alliances through awareness and to create new forms of community.
