Any person with management and supervisory functions is required to react on any form of sexual discrimination and violence, pursue clues without exception and take appropriate action if there is a suspicion or to inform the competent authorities.

Besides the Central Gender Equality Officer and the Local Gender Equality Officers at Humboldt-Universität, affected persons can generally contact the following authorities:

  • the management of the Department of Human Resources and Development, provided that the accused is employee (teachers or staff),
  • the Vizepräsidenten/Vizepräsidentin  für  Studium  und  Lehre (vice-president for studies and teaching),
  • an  die Management of the "Student Affairs" (Studienabteilung I), when the accused is student.


In acute situations, the local security guards and / or the police (phone: 110) should be alerted.

For confidential advice and support you can contact the Central and Local Gender Equality Officers at Humboldt-Universität in all cases of sexualised discrimination and violence.
