Team Teaching
The Graduate Centre regularly calls for applications for the Team Teaching programme. In this programme, a professor and a doctoral candidate without regular teaching duties jointly plan and run a course.
The programme is aimed in particular at doctoral students in the second year of their doctorate. The teams can be made up of doctoral students and their supervisors, but this is not a prerequisite.
Structure
- Joint development of the concept of a course; joint planning and realisation of the sessions
- Equal rights in moderation and examinations
- Accompanying workshop on university didactics for doctoral students
- Certificate after completion of the course for doctoral students
Remuneration and crediting
- Professors and doctoral students are each credited with 1 LVS
- In their role as mentors, professors receive an additional reduction in teaching load of 1 LVS
- Doctoral candidates are remunerated via teaching assignments (Lehraufträge)
- The content and format of the course and its exact implementation are the responsibility of the respective teaching teams
Prerequisites
- Doctoral candidates enrolled at the HU can participate
- International doctoral candidates need a work permit for self-employment
Call
- The call for applications for the summer semester takes place in autumn, the call for applications for the winter semester in spring.
