Collaborative projects

Scientists from the Faculty of Life Sciences are involved in numerous collaborative projects. Collaborative research contributes to networking on an institutional, professional and personal level. In cooperation with other universities and non-university institutions, interdisciplinary research is conducted in clusters of excellence, collaborative research centers, research groups and international projects.

 


 

 


 

   
Berlin University Alliance Projects
forms a conglomerate of Freie Universität Berlin, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and Technische Universität Berlin as well as Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin.
   
Cluster of Excellence (DFG)
have the goal of promoting cutting-edge research and advancing the expansion of new research fields.
   
Collaborative Research Centers (DFG)
enable scientists to work on complex and long-term research projects by collaborating across the boundaries of their respective disciplines.
   
Research Groups (DFG)
are composed of scientists who work together on a narrow research topic and contribute to the establishment of new research areas.
   
Research Training Groups and Schools
offer structured doctoral programs that provide the framework for interdisciplinary research already during doctoral studies. The doctoral programs are organized under the umbrella of the Humboldt Graduate School.
   
Other collaborative Projects
are funded by EU programs, programs of the federal ministries and other third-party donors.
