Summer School 2025
Accelerating Research by Responsibly Using AI
23.05.-26.05.2025, Blossin
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is increasingly becoming a tool for science and is accelerating research processes in various ways. It enables the analysis of large amounts of data, optimizes experimental designs and supports the generation of new hypotheses. At the same time, the increasing use of AI in research raises key questions about scientific use, integrity, reproducibility and fairness. How can AI be used responsibly to promote innovation without violating scientific standards?
In our 4-day summer school, we discuss these central questions and bring together young scientists from different disciplines to jointly develop strategies for the responsible use of AI in research. In addition to theoretical lectures and discussions on the topics of research ethics, transparent scientific practice and practical applications of AI, there will be practical workshops in which participants will gain hands-on experience with current AI tools in order to be able to apply them in their research.
The summer school is more than just a scientific event, it also offers a productive setting for individual career development: in addition to establishing contacts and networking, it encourages reflection on one's own competencies, values and aspirations with regard to a successful professional career - within or outside academia.
