In an era of rapid scientific advancements, such as artificial intelligence and biotechnology, and amidst complex and controversial issues like climate change and public health emergencies, effective science communication becomes even more crucial. It plays a pivotal role in countering misinformation and fake news, building trust in scientific findings, inspiring curiosity, and fostering collaboration to tackle societal challenges.

The Future Lab: Where Science meets Communications aims to provide a collaborative platform to showcase innovative science communication formats, foster new partnerships and spark excitement among scientists and communicators. The Future Lab also serves as a platform for exploring and discovering news perspectives on career paths and skill sets within the realm of science communication.

Future WiNS: New Energies for a Sustainable World

“Future WiNS” is an interdisciplinary event bringing together a community of natural scientists from all fundamental and applied research fields – from mathematics and computer science to biology and engineering – to discuss current challenges in energy research and viable strategies for sustainable solutions.

The local organizers were supported by an interdisciplinary scientific committee including young scientists belonging to the WiNS network. Awardees of the WiNS Fellowships 2022 were celebrated in this event with an invitation to present their research.

Berlin Science Postdoc Day organised by Humboldt Graduate School

The Berlin Postdoc Day is an annual event organized by the FMP and MDC Joint Postdoc Association. This year, the event was held on November 3rd as part of the Berlin Science Week and was open to all Postdocs and last-year PhD students working on all scientific disciplines (Natural, Life and Social Sciences) in the Berlin area.
