A1 New probes for analytics in biological environments
Challenges: Can we understand and rationally modify the surface of a nanoparticle for biomolecular sensing and introduce such nano-sensing systems into cells? Can we improve the sensitivity of probes of local environments in biological molecules?
Objectives: Molecular as well as nanoparticle probes, along with the conditions that lead to successful targeting of biomolecular structures will be designed and characterized. They will be applied to study molecular structure, composition and interactions.
