Progress Reviews
Research projects have to be planned so that completion and graduation within three years is possible. Supervisors have undertaken to monitor the progress of their doctoral students regularly and to document it in writing.
Interim Reports
Doctoral candidates will be asked to submit detailed “interim reports” explaining what they have achieved so far and what they are planning to do for the remainder of their doctoral studies. Intervals for those reports are every six months, starting after the first year:
- first report after 12 months
- second report after 18 months
- third report after 24 months
- fourth report after 30 months
The interim reports have to be turned in at the SALSA office via email and will be forwarded to the supervisors for written feedback. Please note that we will ask for additional reports if fellows do not finish experiments/lab work within 36 months and are not writing their thesis full time yet after the 36-month-mark.
Please check the Download Section (password required) for guidelines and a template for the Interim Report.
