As Graduate Centre coordinator, I am the point of contact for all concerns raised by doctoral candidates and supervisors which go beyond the formalities of the doctoral studies. My responsibilities include:

• Planning and organisation of all further education and training, networking and information that the Graduate Centre offers
• Information for people interested in a doctorate at the Faculty of Life Sciences
• Confidential counselling for doctoral candidates and supervisors in case of problems
• Mediation between the doctoral candidates or the elected doctoral student representatives and the ‘official power’ in the Faculty, for example the Faculty Committee and its representatives, the Deputy Dean for Research and also the group of academic staff
